“I first started out as an audio engineer by opening my own commercial studio in 1999, Modern Music Studios.
It was a first of its kind all digital studio in Columbia, SC that recorded many of the scenes favorite acts.
Since then I came to work for the premier studio in town, Strawberry Skys, where I continue to record, mix and master music of all types.
When I am not there, I have a great little room that sounds fantastic and creates wonderful mixes and masters.
I call it “The Hollow” because it’s a slightly worn and torn space that is comfortable, quiet, and in the shade of a little slice of heaven I call home.”

In today’s music, techniques like drum sample replacement and perfectly pitched vocals are the standard with which you have to compete to sound relevant.
I use top of the line digital audio products to create your mix. From Pro Tools and Logic Pro, to plugins from SSL, Slate Digital, Izotope, Waves and Universal Audio just to name a few.

Mastering is not just an after thought to me. It is a craft I am trained in. It takes many years of practice and patience to learn how to master a song correctly.
I use programs like Wavelab Pro 12 and Ozone 12 to the most powerful plugins available today to sculpt a master to fit your genre and to seamlessly mesh with your whole album or project.
I have always used JBL monitors to listen back on and now I use Slate Digital Audio’s fantastic VSX Headphone monitoring system as well. You can trust that the playback of your songs will translate correctly any system or in any environment.

Streaming platforms such as iTunes, YouTube and Spotify all require different formats of your songs for publishing. I have the latest software and know how to give you the best sounding online masters.
I can create information such as an ID3 tag and album artwork into your MP3 masters. This gives your work a distinct and professional look and appeal.

I always offer a CD master with your project should you need it. I also can provide DDP files for CD replication plants.
For small run CD replication, I recommend Strawberry Skys recording studio, where I work, that can offer that service for you.
We have a very talented in house graphic design team that can assemble a professional looking CD package for you.
My rates…
My services are based on one flat fee for your project based on the number of songs included and the number of tracks per song. Mastering is included in your fee for the highest quality, competitive playback of your mixes.
Producing a mix and master that translates well to all available playback systems is very importance to me.
